The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) has released its Year in Review infographic. Available for download on the SMPS website, the Year in Review provides a breakdown of growth and achievements, as well as programs initiated within the 2015–2016 fiscal year.
The infographic includes a membership summary by firm size, job function, and firm discipline. In addition, it incorporates statistics on professional development offered, recognition and awards, and research provided by the SMPS Foundation. During the 2015-16 fiscal year, SMPS had several new initiatives, including MARKENDIUM, a comprehensive educational resource for marketing and business development, as well as a seller-doer suite of learning for technical professionals and principals.
“Graphics alone cannot tell the full story of SMPS and the AEC professionals we serve. But what is clear is there’s a need and desire for marketing and business development professionals, and their firms, to continually learn and expand their network to maximize the positive economic conditions,” said SMPS chief executive officer Michael V. Geary. “I’m excited about where we’re going with our members.”
SMPS president Craig Galati said: “SMPS is providing the education, networking, and relationships that our members need to be successful in their jobs. Our retention rate proves that we are doing the right thing. But we cannot rest. We will continue to help foster and advance the development of marketing-led firms in the professional services industries.”
