Company officials, dignitaries and representatives of Nuway Construction gathered in Middlebury in late August to break ground on a new $10 million project for recreational vehicle manufacturer Grand Design RV, The Goshen News reports.
There will be two new factories. One will produce new RVs that will expand the company’s reach, said Don Clark, co-founder and president of Grand Design RV.
The published report said Clark declined to say what type of RV will be produced, but that the new line will allow the company to enter a new segment of the RV market.
The second plant will produce luxury fifth-wheels, The Goshen News reported.
In an earlier statement, Nuway Construction president Randy Huffman said: “We are excited to once again partner with Grand Design and look forward to helping them meet the escalating demand for their products. It is very rare to see a company grow at the incredible rate Grand Design has and we are proud to play a small role in this very special company’s accomplishments.”
The project is expected to be completed by spring 2018.
