Bluegrass Supply Chain Services is planning to construct a new facility in Jeffersonville to improve its operations in Southern Indiana.
The company’s proposal includes a 200,000-sq.ft. building within the Bridgeport Business Center at 1220 Bridgeport Drive. The proposed project will create a new warehouse space with offices that will serve clients in the areas of value-added warehousing, sequencing, kitting, and transportation management, according to a report in Lanereport.com.
“This expansion will help ensure Bluegrass Supply Chain Services continues to grow in Southern Indiana,” Bluegrass President John Higgins said. “Our company has received great support from the residents and City of Jeffersonville, One Southern Indiana, the IEDC and Koetter Construction, who is handling our project, and we appreciate their confidence in our success.”
Bluegrass plans to invest $9.7 million in the project through 2021. The estimated construction completion date is Feb. 1, 2019.
