Heartland Food Products Group wants to build new HQ in central Indiana

Heartland Food Products Group plans to build a new headquarters in central Indiana.

According to a report in Inside Indiana Business, the Carmel-based company is working to find a right spot for its new headquarters. It is looking for space in either Indianapolis, Westfield, Fishers or elsewhere in Carmel, the publication reported.

Heartland Food Products Group owns the Splenda brand of low-calorie sweeteners. It could also add approximately 130 jobs as a result of the move.

The company has enlisted the services of an advisor to home in on a new headquarters and could complete the move within a year and a half. The new space will house executives, support staff and sales, finance and information technology functions.
