Purdue University Northwest will begin construction of the Bioscience Innovation Building on the Hammond campus on July 2. A commemorative groundbreaking ceremony is slated for August 23, according to PNW Pioneer.
The 68,000-sq.-ft. building will include modern classrooms, research labs and open spaces for collaboration and group work. The new building will be located south of SULB and northeast of Lawshe.
The majority of the $40.5-million building will be a cross-disciplinary education space for the nursing and biology programs, said Douglas Clark, strategic director of marketing and communications.
