Winnebago Industries, a recreational vehicle maker, is expanding its Middlebury facility with an investment of $12 million.

The company has broken ground on an expansion project to add 200,000-sq.-ft. of space at its Winnebago Towables campus.

According to a report from the Elkhart Truth, the new space will be located just east of the company’s current facility.

“Winnebago Industries has a presence in four different states and we felt for this business we wanted to continue to invest in a contiguous piece of land next to its current campus, and we think it’s the right place to be right now for this business,” Winnebago CEO Michael Happe was quoted as saying.
