Louisiana-based Sazerac Co. plans to spend $66 million to build a new alcohol bottling plant in New Albany, Inside Indiana Business reported.
The company selected the former General Mills Pillsbury plant to establish a 455,000-sq.-ft. facility, according to the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
Sazerac will renovate and equip the plant, which is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
The company says the new plant will “significantly expand” its alcohol processing, blending, packaging and distribution capabilities.
