The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation, better known as IndyGo, is seeking bids from qualified general contractors and/or electrical contractors to install electric switchgear systems.
The electric switchgear systems will be used to charge 117 electric buses that IndyGo is scheduled to begin receiving in September 2018 and to begin use in public transportation operations in mid-2019.
New raised concrete islands and electric bus plug-in charging stations will be constructed within the existing garage. Additional work includes re-striping of the garage area and construction of a new electrical utility access road.
Bids are due July 17, 2018. You can find more information here.
