Goshen Community Schools selects architect for $65M building project


Goshen Community Schools has selected Fort Wayne-based Barton Coe Vilamaa as the architect for its $65 million building project, The Elkhart Truth reported.

The project, approved by voters through a referendum, includes a new intermediate school for grades 5 and 6, as well as renovations and expansions to Goshen High School (GHS) and Goshen Middle School (GMS), according to the publication.

Barton Coe Vilamaa will provide the design services for the new building and additions, as well as assist with the bidding process for construction of the project.

The $38-million intermediate school building will cover about 190,000 sq. ft., while the GHS portion of the project will include 30,000 sq. ft. of new space, as well as renovations to 20,000 sq. ft. of existing space, along with other infrastructure improvements throughout the school. The GMS portion will include renovations to 20,000 sq. ft. of existing space as well.
