Everwood Hospitality Partners says that it acquired the former Stockyards Bank Building in downtown Indianapolis and plans to convert the historic building into the 128-room hotel called Aloft Indianapolis Downtown.
Located at 136 E Market St., the 12-story structure, built in 1898, has served as law offices, a law library and a bank.
Everwood plans to begin construction during the fourth quarter of 2018, with a targeted completion date of third quarter 2019.
