The Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority approved more than $1 million in contracts for work on its new East Corporate Hangar, NWI Times reported.
The new hangar’s shell was built by Burling Builders. The recently approved 10 contracts with nine local contractors include earthwork and site utilities, concrete, asphalt paving, mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, metal fabrications and the fire suppression system.
The project is being managed by Lee Companies of Gary.
