Randolph County plans to build new highway garage

The Randolph County Board of Commissioners will build a new county highway department garage facility along US Highway 27, south of Winchester.

The commissioners opened bids for the construction of the new garage, reports The Winchester News-Gazette.

The bids were submitted by five different contractors, all of which are within the engineering and architectural cost estimates, according to the report.

Commission president Mike Wickersham told the publication that the bids will be now be reviewed by highway department representatives with the final bid to likely be accepted at the Dec. 3 board of commissioners meeting.
