Opus Packaging Group, a Michigan-based packaging manufacturing company, is spending $3 million to expand its building in central Indiana.
The Associated Press reports that Opus is building a new facility in Whitestown to increase production for customers in the state and other parts of the Midwest.
Construction is underway and is expected to be complete by July. The project will create more than 40 new jobs by the end of 2022.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. (IEDC) has offered Opus up to $240,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans.
