Chicago company plans 1,800-acre Indiana solar farm

Chicago-based Invenergy Solar Development is preparing to begin construction on a solar farm over about 1,800 acres in western Indiana.

The Associated Press reports that construction is expected to begin by the end of this year on the solar farm that will include nearly 580,000 solar panels. The site is located near the Sullivan County community of Fairbanks.

Invenergy believes that the plant could start generating electricity by the end of 2023.
