Good Samaritan to begin construction on education center

Good Samaritan announced that it will start construction of the Charles C. Hedde, MD Health Education Center following approval by the board of governors.

The 4,500 sq.-ft. health center will be built on the Good Samaritan campus located at the corner of Seventh and Nicholas streets.

It will accommodate approximately 244 occupants for stadium seating capacity and 144 occupants with tables and chairs set up. It will also allow for dividing the center into three separate conference rooms for additional training classes that can be utilized by hospital staff, the community and physician residents.

The redesign of the education center was completed by Myszak and Palmer and the project was awarded to Wolfe Construction.

The $2.4 million project will be funded by Good Samaritan Foundation.

The foundation and structural steel work for the center is to begin this June with the anticipated final completion date to be March 1, 2021.
