Walmart is planning to build a new distribution facility in Hancock County.

The retailer will invest more than $600 million in the 2.2 million-sq.-ft. facility and create approximately 1,000 jobs, according to the Greenfield Daily Reporter.

The facility, to be located near Indianapolis Regional Airport, will be Walmart’s largest distribution center in the country, Hancock Economic Development Council Executive Director Randy Sorrell told the publication.

Walmart could begin construction as early as this September.
