Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) started construction on the largest solar power plant in Indiana.

The St. Joseph solar farm will have a capacity of 20 megawatts, enough to power 2,700 homes each year, reports ABC57.

The solar panels are being installed near the Indiana Toll Rd. between Bittersweet and Cleveland roads in St. Joseph County.

The project is expected to complete the construction in 2021.
