Eli Lilly and Co. is seeking roughly $24 million in tax abatements over a decade for three major diabetes therapy projects at its technology center, reports the Indianapolis Star.
Plans call for the construction of a new 16,300-sq.-ft. building and the renovation of two existing spaces at the company’s technology campus off of South Harding Street on the west side.
The two renovations involve a $70 million investment to existing space for the development of drug-delivery devices and packaging and a $113 million investment for a syringe-filling assembly line for its diabetes therapy products, according to the Star.
Construction would take place later this year, with the anticipated completion in 2022.
