An organization that cares for seniors is building some new program space.

Fort Wayne-based Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana, Inc. (AIHS) will soon be offering a Medicare and Medicaid program called PACE (which stands for Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly). In order to accommodate the program, AIHS is renovating its former headquarters on Lake Avenue. Construction is expected to be completed in mid-2020.

The architect for the project is MKM architecture + design, and the general contractor is Weigand Construction.

“We are eager to be at the forefront of offering this new model of integrated care to residents in the Fort Wayne area. This renovation project is the first step in creating a center where residents can receive the coordinated care they need to continue to live independently in the community,” said AIHS president and CEO Connie Benton Wolfe.
